A former governor of the old Anambra State, Jim Nwobodo, has dumped the Anglican Communion for the Roman Catholic church.
Nwobodo decided to wed in the Catholic church barely 24 hours after he announced his exit from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
The one-time information minister as well as presidential aspirant on the platform of the PDP, wedded his wife, Patricia, at the Catholic Bishop’s Court, in Enugu.
The wedding was officiated by the Bishop of Enugu Catholic Diocese, Most Rev. Dr. Callistus Onaga, Punch reports
The 75-year-old Nwobodo had initially wedded Patricia in the Anglican church, when the couple got married several years ago.
Speaking at the event, Nwobodo said he was now a fulfilled man, having joined the Catholic church.
He described the development as a spiritual “home coming”.
According to him, he trusts and believes in the doctrines of the Catholic church.
