Jigawa SDP accuses APC, PDP of vote buying, threatens to go spiritual over guber election

The governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party ( SDP) in Jigawa State, Alhaji Bashir Adamu (Jumbo), has accused the ruling APC and PDP of vote buying in the just-concluded presidential and National Assembly election.

Bashir, who made the allegation while commenting on the outcome of last election in Radio Freedom FM station, said both APC and PDP are culpable in the allegation of vote buying.

He alleged that over a billion naira was shared by the APC state government to canvass for electorates’ votes at the just-concluded presidential and National Assembly elections in the state.

“Both APC and PDP shared a huge amount of money to solicit the support of the electorates at the polling units,” he said.

The SDP gubernatorial candidate said they have taken stringent and spiritual measures against any person who will try to buy votes and rigged the election.

“We have made animal sacrifices and recitation of the Holy Quar’an invoking the wrath of God ‎against any perpetrators,” he declared.

“We have enough evidence to tell the world that civil servants in the state were intimidated, coerced and blackmailed into colliding with authorities to stuff ballot papers at their various polling units in order to save their threatened jobs.”

He also debunked allegations that his party, SDP, was in talk with another political party in the state for the Saturday polls.
