The lawmaker representing Kajaure/Roni/Gwiwa/Yankwasi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Muhammed Kajaure Gudaji has explained that President Muhammadu Buhari was booed by lawmakers on the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, platform for not offering bribe to lawmakers.

Speaking after the joint sitting of the upper and lower legislative chambers on Wednesday after protests by some lawmakers chanting “freedom comes by struggle”, he said those involved were PDP House members.

He stated that PDP lawmakers were used to taking bribe from the presidency before passing appropriation, but President Muhammadu Buhari would not do that, hence, he incurred their wrath.

Hon. Gudaji added that the protest was pre-planned, and that some members entered the Chambers with placards.

He described those who protested as ‘gang of looters’ who are aggrieved because President Buhari refused to offer them bribe before he presented the budget.

“Before now, they have been planning this protest. PDP House members have been meeting to stop Mr. President from coming, until there was intervention at a point. ”

“Yesterday, they met and planned to protest and the reason is that Mr. Integrity has refused to give lawmakers bribe and that is why they are angry.”

The lawmaker insisted that the budget presentation was successful despite the odds.
