Jigawa Guber: SDP speaks on ‘stepping down’ for another party

The Governorship candidate of the Social Democratic party, SDP in Jigawa State, Alh Bashir Adamu Jumbo said he has no intention to step down for any candidate in the coming governorship election.

Jumbo made the clarification while responding to the rumours that he is planning to step down for the candidate in another party.

He said the information is baseless and planted by other parties to cause injuries to his supporters.

“We have never entered any agreement with any other party, so the issue of stepping down is baseless.”

He noted that even if there would be any agreement, candidate in the other party must step down for him because he is the most credible among all the contestants.

He urged party supporters and those who have confidence in him to come out en masse and vote for SDP to clean up the mess of the ruling APC and PDP.

Three major parties in Jigawa State APC, PDP and SDP are in the fore- front for the 9th March governorship and State Assembly election and it was alleged that the candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP was in talk with one of the two parties.
