English Premier League (EPL) star, James Maddison has been forced to withdraw from England squad to face Czech Republic, Bulgaria and Kosovo in the Euro 2020 qualifiers fixtures on October 11, 14 and 17 respectively due to illness, according to BBC Sport.
DAILY POST recalls that Maddison, who plays for Leicester City in the Premier League, was included in manager, Gareth Southgate’s 23-man squad to tackle Bulgaria and Kosovo.
Maddison, who is yet to make his senior England debut, will not be replaced in Southgate’s 23-man squad.
The attacking midfielder has been impressive for Leicester City so far this season.
The 22-year-old has scored three goals for Leicester in all competitions this campaign.
He is now the third player to withdraw from the Three Lions squad after Everton’s Fabian Delph and Aston Villa’s Tom Heaton sustained injuries.
