JAMB releases results of 2017 supplementary UTME

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has released the results of the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation (UTME) supplementary examination, that held on July 1.

An official of the examination body, confirmed this to Premium Times.

At least 85,000 candidates were given the opportunity to rewrite the supplementary exam, due to problems of registration.

More than 1.7 million candidates registered for the first 2017 UTME in 633 centres across the country from May 13 to May 20, but the board cancelled the results of more than 50,000 candidates.

JAMB has already said they will not reschedule exams , for candidates who reported late for the mop-up examination.

“There is nothing you can do … we placed adverts in newspapers, sent e-mails and text messages and if you did not get it, it means that you were not invited for the exam.

“A bulk Short Message Service (SMS) was equally sent to your telephone numbers that you provided during the registration.

“We will not reschedule the exam for people who came late,” JAMB Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, said.
