Jacques Anouma kicked out of FIFA, CAF

Jacques Anouma, the former president of the Cote D’Ivoire Football Federation (FIF), has lost his seat on the FIFA Executive Committee.

He was defeated at the Confederation of African Football (CAF) 37th Ordinary Assembly on Tuesday.

The 61-year-old Ivorian also lost the seat he has held for long on the CAF Executive Committee.

Tunisia’s Tarek Bouchamaoui, who won 54 votes and Constant Omari Selemani, the president of DR Congo Football Federation who polled 34 votes, will both sit on the FIFA panel for the next four years.

Bouchamaoui was also re-elected unopposed for the North Zone, Ghana’s Kwesi Nyantakyi also returned for Zone West B (which Nigeria falls into), while Guinean Almamy Kabele Camara retained his seat in West A Zone.

Other seats retained include: Leodegar Tenga (Central-East), Kalusha Bwalya (Southern Zone) and Selemani (Central Zone).

They will occupy the positions until 2019.
