Iwobi joins Ronaldo, Neymar on Nike’s roaster

Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi, has signed on as a Nike athlete.

The 19-year-old broke into the Arsenal first team towards the end of last year and scored twice in the Premier League against Everton and Watford.

In a video posted on YouTube, Iwobi spoke about his admiration for the sports wear giants and revealed his first pair of boots were the Mercurial Vapours worn by legendary Arsenal striker, Thierry Henry.

“I’ve always been a fan, and to be associated with players like Neymar, [Cristiano] Ronaldo, [Mario] Gotze [who are] big players, and to say I’m involved with that is just an honour,” Iwobi said.
