It’s official: Bale becomes most expensive player after Real Madrid confirms move

Real Madrid have finally signed Gareth Bale from Tottenham Hotspur, after both clubs agreed a world-record fee of about £86m.

The 24-year-old will undergo a medical with the La Liga side, before putting pen to paper on a six-year deal worth £8.5m a year, which was agreed between both parties weeks ago.

Bale has refused to play for the Premier League side this season, as he tried to force through his move to Madrid, but the Spanish giants this evening confirmed the deal on their official website.
