It is ‘impossible’ for Chelsea to make top four – Hiddink

Interim Chelsea manager, Guus Hiddink, has admitted that their chances of reaching the top four has reduced, following a 1-1 draw with Stoke at home.

The Blues took the lead through Bertrand Traore, but Mame Biram Diouf equalized in the second half, to ensure the home side did not pick up their fourth straight win.

Hiddink says the result means fourth place is beyond Chelsea now.

“That’s difficult, almost impossible,” he said.

“Especially when other teams are knocking on the door as well.

“Yet in December we were near the relegation zone, so get to the middle of the table and now have a beautiful March and April to look forward to with the Champions League and the FA Cup would be nice.”
