Super Eagles forward, Alex Iwobi, has expressed delight over his goal against Crystal Palace in Sunday’s English topflight encounter.
The Nigeria international is delighted to have helped Arsenal to beat the Eagles in the Emirates stadium.
Olivier Giroud opened scoring for the Gunners in the 17th minute with a superb back-heel kick, before the 20-year-old forward took the game beyond Palace in the 56th minute.
Iwobi told Arsenal website, “It was a great feeling. It was a bit unorthodox but a goal is a goal and I’m happy to start 2017 with a goal.
“Playing against Barcelona and scoring Premier League goals – there were some special moments in 2016. But it’s all in the past now.
“I’m concentrating on the future and being the best that I can.
“We’ll just have to focus on our next game, take it as it comes. Hopefully we’ll see what happens at the end of the season.
“We should be [ready to go again in 48 hours]. We need to recover well and train again and prepare for Bournemouth.
