“A proud man is always looking down on things and people; and, of. course, as long as you are looking down, you cannot see something that is above you.”C.S. Lewis ‘Blood will Flow in the Streets if Jonathan Loses in 2015’ this was a death warrant campaign slogan courtesy of a conceit and vainglorious spokesperson and defender of Mr. President of the Federal republic of Nigeria. The above threat was uttered by the Chicken-hearted, Asari Dokubo in a recent interview that was aired live on channels TV, Abuja. The political gladiator vociferated and vehemently accused the northerners of plotting to stop his kinsman from taken an oath of office for the third time.
Supposedly, a desperate and die-hard supporter of Barrack Obama (president of the United State), in helping Obama to realize his political dream, uttered such an obscurant and patently absurd statement to the Americans. What would have been the reactions of the Americans and Obama? It would have led for either the resignation of Obama or the admittance of the staunch supporter to a psychiatric hospital before arresting him. Contrarily, in my country such birdbrains are been rewarded with jumbo contracts.
The abysmal moral bankruptcy in our dear country keeps reflecting in our day-to-day life. I wished the man, Asari Dokubo was civilized enough to help his brother, by keeping his putrid mouth shut. His commotion exposed his primitive self and portrayed him as someone who is still two and a half century behind us. Asari should be reminded that we are in the 21st century. It will be more appropriate and civilized for people like Asari to always know the appropriate language and manner to use in the media. The vandal mode of addressing situations in our country is always based on sentiment, short sightedness and barbarism. Speaking to the Nigerian public is not speaking to the Creek boys.
The terms always employed by Asari in matters of his kinsmen are barbaric and premature as such, they are capable of undermining the well being of the nation. He should have self respect and make sense in comprehending that the current crisis bedeviling Mr. President, PDP and the G7 governors is not a tribal, religious or regional crisis but a crisis of a party’s political affairs. Grievances and accusation by Jonathan’s kinsmen like elder Edwin Clark will not help resolve the matter.
Their noise prove nothing but that of an empty vessel that makes the most noise and much more often like a hen that has merely laid an egg and cackles as if she laid an asteroid. If Asari is waging war with the north because his kinsman is loosing support of the region, it is better for him to start sending his missile because definitely, GEJ is loosing the support of the region due lack of good political advisers which has left the president with no options but to rely more on the threat of political predators like Asari and co. Some other reasons for Mr. president’s slumped support in the northern region, was his incapability to dissociate himself from ethnic and religious politicians like Oritsejafor, Clark, Dokubo and their likes. These are the people who have directly or indirectly related their selfish egocentric interests to the presidency.
However, the president is yet to cleanse the Augean stables in terms of enriching the country with adequate infrastructures despite the huge amount of capital incomes. The only excuse Mr. President gives is that his predecessors were to be blame for the current state of the nation. Will this be the same excuse he will give if Nigerians entrusted him with another 4 years term in office? The current crisis bedeviling the PDP is a climax of a political trauma in which the president and his former aiders found themselves.
Instead of advising their kinsman at the top, to extend the country’s wealth and resources to the far north and other regions, they kept barking at us even though we are the victims of a collateral damage. A layperson will understand that the current situation in Nigeria are political or rather a PDP affair and not a national affairs.
Asari who has transformed himself from an oppressed to an oppressor, in interfering into PDP crisis, should learn to address them as the Namadis, the Kwankwaso ,the Amechis, the Lamidos, the Barajes, the Jonathans and the PDP’s . The inclusion of northern Nigeria and Hausa Fulani in the crisis exposed Asari as a hater of the region and it’s people.
The conscious mind will always regard these folks as birds of a feather flock together. They all belong to the pdp political family. A raptorial Mammalian party whose pernicious political ideology has destabilized the entire system and well being of the country. Mr. President and the folks fighting each other today, were the same people that ‘Jegarized’ the 2011 election to aid Mr. president. As citizens and patriot of our beloved country, for a very long time, all we are seeking and praying for is a positive democratic change. In the course of this search for a positive change, being an Ijaw, Hausa, Igbo, or Yoruba man or woman e.t.c. is not a criterion and qualification for handling this responsibility.
A truthful, honest, trustworthy and incorruptible Nigerian that will sacrifice all what he has to save the nation from total eclipse is highly demanded and recommended. The current political imbroglio in the country is a party palaver and not a country palaver. PDP problem is not a national problem. Mr. Asari should learn to accept the fact that croaky voice and discourteous comments on the north lacks the fervor of treating or forcing Nigerians to support his breadwinner president.
Irreligiously, a regime like this, characterized by weakness, nepotism and corruption, people like Asari will dearly romance it so that their breads can still be oily with the butter. Nigeria is for all Nigerians and not only for an insolent opportunist who lack appropriate manner of approach and sort to give threat as a condition for the success of GEJ in 2015 election. Infact, anytime Asari open his putrid mouth to abuse and threaten the Northerners especially the Hausa Fulani, we perceived a media that was unaware of his condition has accidentally aired a mad man. We never feel fright or scared of such an element. Especially, that he never came to Kano, Zamfara, or Sokoto e.t.c. to issue such threats. Perhaps, Asari’s other reason for groaning and issuing threat in case his brother looses the next election is to remain an oil thief. Imagine my country giving an oil thief a contract worth millions of dollars for the oil thieves to stop stealing oil. What a harebrained and a cockamamie transformation agenda!
As time is running out for the current government, it is high time Asari gives up his childish and kindergarten threat style. At least, he should be grown up by now and stop the area boys habit. Though, his types, the hooligans were unfortunate for not being rehabilitated to become useful members of the society during this lax and inattentive regime of his brother. It is pathetically appalling, as election approaches, Nigerians are being threatened by a chicken-hearted Asari’s campaign slogans. For example “the oil blocs are located in the Niger delta hence we will destroy them if our tribal man, Mr. Jonathan Ebele is not allowed to rigged the next election” Hilarious indeed! When did the Nigerian state become a place for bunkums and balderdashes? A Man like Asari never minds or worried to talk of the need for stable electricity, security, hospital, good roads, stable economy but all he wants is that his tribe man must be mandated to rule the nation again in an exchange for trade by bata (handing over the of oil blocs to them so that they can perpetually live in clover while the rest of the society being infrastructural zero. What a political gladiator! What a blot on the escutcheon!
Asari should be warning Nigerians by saying, despite the fact that my brother has given you 24/7 electric power supply, free education, free ASUU and doctors non striking years, subsidizing fuel price, curtailing pen thieves, oil thieves and arm robbers, fighting corruption, providing adequate security e.t.c. Instead, the vandal threatening Nigerians that they must vote GEJ because he comes from the south-south of Nigeria.
One may asked, why is this Asari nagging over the issue that Mr. president must be allow to make it to the mantle in 2015? Perhaps, it was because they rigged the 2011 election that the president will win. If he had confidence that the previous election was free and fair why is he rattling? They should go ahead and rigged the 2015 own as they did in 2011. Possibly, at this time, things are changing; GEJ is loosing his northern coattails. The former allied forces from the north will possibly not align with them to rig the next presidential election and that is the disquieting issue.
In a fair play policy, I think those wanting Mr, president not to contest election in 2015 are unjust and unfair to the Ijaw man. For someone to taste the Nigeria most powerful and clover seat and cede it when he had the chance to ‘Jegarised’ it to continue a next term in office hmm…
Have we forgotten the Yar’adua and the Suntais’ cabaliyas and cabals. Even on sick beds they still want to keep possession of the remote control of the country in their possession. Thinking of President Jonathan is unfair to an agreement of contesting only once isn’t a fair judgment. Unless you found your self in a similar situation of Mr. president and being surrounded by your cabaliya and cabals that even call you coward for not mercilessly dealing with your opposition and you did otherwise by then you can accuse the Mr. President of not being a gentleman of his own words. Above all, it is his right. To many right thinking Nigeria, the only fault of Mr. President is lack of deliverance, nepotism, lack of equity and fairness.
Is it the threat of these vandals and cabals that Nigerians should be scared of or the pain of poverty and insecurity that has ravaged all the corners and regions of Nigeria? Asari should at least, tell us one single achievement of this administration.
You might say Airports are being revamped but only 1% of Nigeria population used the Airports. What has the poor man in Sokoto, Maiduguri, Otuoke, Ota etc has to do with this? The Kano Airport was even abandoned as the International terminal is still waiting for princess Stella Oduah, aviation minister to order the completion of project.
Dear honorable minister of aviation, why did you deceive us with an uncompleted airport building project? Or is it because you are desperate to complete the Enugu airport so that you can divert Ethiopia and other airlines there? If not, why then did you unveil an uncompleted project. What is the logic and rationale behind this con? The mortifying issue on this Kano airport is the deliberate abandonment of the revamping project of the international terminal. An act that has discouraged Airlines Company to retract or to take a rain check on their initial desire to fly the Kano zone. Our older airport is a home to many international commercial airlines but now, Princess Stella Odua has deliberately discouraged them out of Kano under the guise of insecurity.
Once more, the issue of PDP, GEJ, OBJ, and G7 governors is not an issue of fighting for a region but an internal PDP crisis that is much more welcomed and celebrated by the general victims or the oppressed
Nigerians during the PDP 14 years of colonizing and imperializing Nigeria.
To the masses view of the PDP, a spade is always a spade. A PDPian is a PDPian. Unless, he reimbursed all the wealth he accumulated and illegally acquired through the PDP agenda of enslaving and the malnourishment Nigerians. By then, we can have a rethink and reassess his or her repentance. Their grievances will not make us to forget that it was this PDP that lead our country from grace to grass. All we are saying PDP give us electricity at least. But it is too late for them as the bell of 2015 is ringing and approaching, let put hands together to have a viable candidate irrespective of his tribe, religion and region. Let vote for someone who will not be distributing Jets to the vandals and awarding them lucrative contracts. Let vote for someone who will transform the society to positive development as well as rehabilitating all these vandals and hooligans to become useful and contribute to the development of their immediate community.
Advisably, It will be very good for Mr. to put an axe to all these brouhaha and start acting like a president or else we would be force to reaffirm the opinion of a prominent south west Politian that said the president is a kindergarten president who found his assignment tedious and enormous to handle thereby allowing the digs and Harris to speak on his behalf.
Sincerely speaking, three years in office should be enough for our dear PHD president to garner all the experience require to carry the nation along towards achieving some realizable goals just like our African brother nations like Ghana, CIV or even Niger. . Finally, I optimistically affirmed that in the short future there will be a better Nigeria InsahAllah. Not necessarily now but, the current generation can sacrifice for the future generation because it will take a long time to wash off the stains of blood which Asari promised Nigerians from our streets. God forbid. Amiin.
