Isa Ahiru emerges PDP governorship candidate in Kaduna

Isa Ashiru on Monday emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship candidate in Kaduna State.

Isa Ashiru polled 1,330 votes to defeat his closest opponent, Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi, with 766 victory margin on the list of 10 contenders.

Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi came second with 564 votes while Mohammed Sani Sidi came third with 560 votes.

2, 654 delegates from the 23 local government areas of the state participated in the PDP governorship primaries election in the state.

Below are details of the votes cast and the standing of the aspirants:

(1)Ja’afaru Sa’ad. – withdrew

(2)Shuaibu Yakubu Miqat – 16 votes

(3) Isa Ashiru – 1330 votes

(4)Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi – 564 votes

(5) Muktar Ramalan Yero – 36 votes
