IPAC lauds Fayose for restoring peace to Ekiti

The umbrella body of all registered political parties that participated in the 2015 general elections, the Inter Party Advisory Council, IPAC, in Ekiti State has hailed Governor Ayo Fayose for his prudent management of the state funds and the restoration of peace in the state.

Ekiti State chapter of IPAC, in a release issued on Friday by its Chairman, Dr. Dele Ekunola and Secretary, Mr. Jimoh Saheed, noted that all residents of the state must join hands with Governor Fayose for the sustenance of the peace being enjoyed in the state.

While applauding the prompt payment of compensation to shop owners and traders affected by the demolition of the Oja Oba Market, Ado-Ekiti, the council said the peaceful manner that the demolition was done was commendable.

IPAC, which described the economic situation of the country as worrisome, said it could only take prudent resources management by Governor Fayose for the state to have sustained payment of workers’ salary till now.

According to the group, “We are happy that Ekiti is enjoying peace with adequate security of lives and properties.

“We are also happy that in spite of the economic recession, which the Federal government itself has admitted, Ekiti State government has been able to sustain payment of workers salary.

“Most importantly, the transparent manner in which the state is being managed by Governor Fayose is unprecedented and commendable.

“We therefore call on residents of the state, especially government workers to cooperate with the government in its efforts to sustain enduring developments and economic recovery of the state because it is obvious that the governor cannot do it alone,” IPAC said.
