International Women’s Day: How Google, others celebrated women

Google on Thursday celebrated the 2018 International Women’s Day (IWD) with some interactive Google doodle.

International Women’s Day is celebrated on the 8th of March, as a call to action to shed light on women issues.

The tech giant featured 12 interactive illustrations to honour female artists and their stories with a theme #HerstoryOurstory

The doodle also presents the work of 12 female artists with stories about the female experience.

Similary, some Nigerians took to their social media handles to celebrate women, most of whom noted that a woman makes the world a better place.
