Inter Milan are reportedly looking to bring back Roberto Mancini, after dismissing Walter Mazzarri on Friday.
Mazzarri, who joined Inter in 2013 from Napoli, was axed with the Serie A club in ninth position after 11 matches, winning only four games so far.
“FC Internazionale would like to announce that Walter Mazzarri has been relieved of his duties as first team coach,” the club said in an official statement.
“The club would like to thank Mazzarri for the commitment, dedication and professionalism he showed over his 17 months in charge.”
Mancini previously managed the Nerrazzurri between 2004 and 2008 and won three league titles and two Coppa Italia trophies, before he was sacked in May 2008. He is currently out of work, after leaving Galatasaray in the summer of 2014.
