Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has threatened to revoke the certificate of occupancy of Agip Oil Company.

Wike issued the threat after accusing Agip of complicity in the crises within its area of operations.

He said the C-of-O will be revoked if Agip continued to act against the security of the state.

Governor Wike made the threat at the Government House in Port Harcourt when a delegation of the Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Area Youths Consultative Council led by Kingsley Ogumike paid him a courtesy visit.

The Rivers Governor also called on Niger-Delta Militants to embrace dialogue, stressing that attacks on oil facilities were negatively affecting the Nigerian economy.

He said if Nigeria’s oil production continued to drop, the nation will face crisis.

The Governor reminded the militants that blowing up oil facilities also had negative effect on the environment.
