The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur has raised the alarm over the incessant attacks unleash on the nation by some dreaded terrorist groups, saying that Nigeria is currently under siege.
The party chieftain said this while addressing newsmen at his hometown in Jada Local Government Area of Adamawa
state Wednesday, shortly after he visited Ganye LGA to commiserate with the people of the area over the recent attack that left 25 persons dead and scores injured. He warned that unless urgent steps were taken to curb the situation, the country might become ungovernable in no distant time.
His words, “This is an evil opposing good. Here are people who attack Mosques, Churches, market, banks, motor parks, police stations without minding who is there. Surely our nation is under siege. It is not the question of PDP, ACN, CPC or any political party or any religion. The truth is that Nigeria is under siege. Therefore, all of us must come together and face this challenge.”
