This was contained in a statement signed by Mr James Pisagih, Secretary to the Gombe State Government. The statement said the newly pronounced curfew would last between 6 p.m and 6a.m daily, until normalcy was fully returned.

The State government had approved the imposition of curfew in Gombe metropolis for between Saturday 3 p.m and Sunday 6 a.m, following the eruption of violence in the city.
