INEC office in Kogi burnt down [PHOTO]

Twenty-four hours to the controversial supplementary governorship Election in Kogi State, the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has been razed down by some thugs in Dekina, Dekina local government area.

A resident confirmed the development to DAILY POST.

DAILY POST equally learnt that some people went to the premises as early as 2 am, demanding for sensitive materials. Apparently, their inability to have access to those materials made them to raze down the building.

Meanwhile, INEC authorities in the state have clarified that it was only non-sensitive materials that were affected in the arson, assuring that the election will go ahead as scheduled.
