The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has extended the phase two of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise for seven days in 12 states.

The extension started today at the different Local Government Areas and ends on September 28.

Time is 8am to 4pm daily.

INEC said it approved additional time for the exercise to allow those who were yet to register do so, noting that the heavy rains from August 20 to 25, did not allow much people to take part.

The commission, however, expressed satisfaction at the turnout of eligible voters.

The states in this phase include- Anambra, Bauchi, Cross River, Delta, Ebonyi and the Federal Capital Territory.

Others are Jigawa, Kwara, Ondo, Oyo, Sokoto and Yobe State.
