INEC approves 50 observer groups for Kogi, Bayelsa elections

Fifty groups will observe the forthcoming governorship elections in two states.

The Kogi and Bayelsa states governorship elections are scheduled for Saturday, 21st November, and Saturday, 5th December, 2015, respectively.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in a letter signed by the Director of Elections and Party Monitoring Department (EPM), Bala Shittu, said 43 out of the approved 50 organisations are domestic, while seven are foreign.

It asked the approved groups to obtain, complete and return Form EPMC 002 for the two elections from the Elections and Party Monitoring Department, INEC Headquarters, Maitama, Abuja between 8.00 am to 4.00pm (Monday to Friday) from 2nd to 23rd October, 2015.

The commission has also requested that the photographs of members of staff to be deployed by the approved groups in the two states, along with their names be submitted in hard and soft copies (CD drive using JPEG) to the Election and Party Monitoring Department INEC latest Friday 23rd October, 2015.
