The wife of Cross River State governor, Mrs Obioma Liyel Imoke, has added a new twist to the ongoing campaign to make Nigerians collect their Permanent Voter Cards, as she said only those with their PVC will be entitled to free Medicare, children insurance and employment in the state.
Mrs Imoke spoke in Itighidi, the home town of her husband, Liyel Imoke, when she went to collect her PVC.
According to her, government agencies in the state may soon begin to pay special attention to women and children who have voters’ card.
“This may also apply to other social services in the state. So, I strongly encourage women and youths to ensure that they not only arm themselves with voters card, but should use it to elect candidates of their choice.
“Please ask everyone around you to obtain their cards. Do not be an arm chair decision maker; make your opinion count,” she said.
