Imo guber: Okorocha will lose out – Umeh

Victor Umeh

The All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, has vowed that it would unseat governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State from power in the next gubernatorial election .

National Chairman of the party, Chief Victor Umeh stated this on Monday while speaking with newsmen in Abuja

According to him, “We are very eager to rebuild the party in Imo against our next election.”

The party chieftain said the defection of Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha to the newly registered All Progressives Congress would jeopadize his political career.

Umeh said the party’s National Executive Committee had decided to dissolve the Imo executive committee of the party because it was the only available option at the moment.

He said, “Imo has been an APGA state since 2003; we won and it was stolen away from us and we could not retrieve it at the tribunal.

“In 2011, we won but it was also a difficult fight because we have to go through supplementary elections.”

Speaking further, the party chairman reminded the governor that the government he was taking to APC belonged to APGA.

“We made it clear long time ago that APGA was not in a merger talk with any political party or association in the country,” he said.

He vowed to uphold the suspension of Okorocha until he apologizes to the party.
