Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, the Governor of Abia State, has dissolved the Sixth Abia State House of Assembly, effective from the 7th of June 2019.
The Governor, in a terse statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Onyemachi Ememanka, and forwarded to DAILY POST on Saturday, also issued a proclamation as appropriate, for the holding of the First Session of the Seventh Abia State House of Assembly on Monday, 10th June, 2019.
Part of the statement reads, “Governor Ikpeazu acted pursuant to the powers bestowed upon him by Section 105, Subsection 3 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999, as amended and all powers enabling him in that behalf”.
