Newly appointed coach of Kano Pillars, Kadiri Ikhana, has promised to reclaim the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title and also win a continental trophy for the club.
Ikhana has returned to the Kano club, for what will be his third spell in charge of the former league champions .
“I want to lead Pillars to be champions again and then be African champions,” he declared at his official unveiling at the Green Desert Hotel in Kano.
“It will not be easy but Pillars are a brand and they deserve to return to their rightful position.
“I started from Kano and I hope I retire here. So, I am back home.”
“I will therefore call on the prayers and support of people of Kano for us to succeed.”
He first handled the club in 1997, before he returned in 2007 to lead them to a historic championship the following year.
