Former Super Eagles and Villareal front-man, Ikechukwu Uche has returned to the Spanish La Liga after spending about six months in the Mexican topflight with Tigres UANL.
The 32-year-old, who joined the Mexican topflight team from Villarreal on a three-year deal in 2015, joined Malaga on loan after a fine start in the Mexican league. That was, however, cut short after he coped with an injury in a Concacaf Champions League game against El Salvador’s Isidro Metapan in September 2015.
Uche will now spend the remainder of the season with the Andalusian side, who are 10th in La Liga.
He was unveiled to the club’s fans on Tuesday by 1 pm Nigerian time.
The Nigerian had laced his boot for Spanish sides Racing de Ferrol, Recreativo de Huelva, Getafe, Real Zaragoza, Villarreal and Granada where he found back of the net for 103 times in 353 appearances.
