Ijaw leader tells Jonathan, Obasanjo to end feud

The newly inaugurated President of the Ijaw National Congress Worldwide, INC, Chief Boma Obuoforibo, has appealed to former President, Olusegun Obasanjo and President Goodluck Jonathan to stop the war of words going on between them. He also called on past Nigerian leaders to intervene in the interest of the nation.

Obuoforibo made the call while speaking with journalists at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, yesterday.

He said: “As the leader of the umbrella socio-cultural organisation of the Ijaw, kinsmen of President Jonathan, I find the unending display of bitterness between the two Nigerian leaders as an ill-wind that blows no one any good.

“I appeal to all former heads of state to quickly intervene and reconcile these two leaders in the interest of the our dear nation.”
