Manchester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho has promised that the club will soon return to winning ways, after going five matches without a win.

The Super Eagles forward, came off the bench at the start of the second half and scored the equalizer, as City drew 1-1 with Southampton on Sunday.

The draw keeps them top of the Premier League only on goal difference ahead of second-placed Arsenal.

“We will improve on what we have been doing,” Iheanacho said afterwards.

“We did our best but unfortunately we drew.

“It was not a good start by us, but we came back into the game”, he added.

Pep Guardiola’s side will take on rivals, Manchester United in the League Cup on Wednesday and the 20-year-old is already looking forward to the game.

“It will be a big game against our next-door neighbours,” he added.
