Two Nigerian youngsters, Manchester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho and Arsenal’s Alex Iwobi have made the list of top 50 under-20 football players in Europe.
The compilation released by Metro UK included the two wonder kids alongside two other Nigerian, in persons of Chelsea duo, Dominic Solanke and Tammy Abraham.
While Iwobi was ranked ranked 17th in the list, Iheanacho occupied number 11th position ahead of Man U’s Marcus Rashford.
George Bellshaw of Metro Uk wrote, “The Nigerian has already shown he has an eye for goal but his all-round game is very impressive too.”
“Often trusted ahead of the experienced Wilfried Bony, City rate Iheanacho very highly and Pep Guardiola will have no reservations about trusting him next season.
“Iwobi made an excellent impact for The Gunners last season and forced himself in front of Theo Walcott in the pecking order.
“After pledging his international future to Nigeria, he could prove to be the one that got away for England in years to come.”
