Iheanacho ‘happy’ to score winning goal in Manchester Derby

Manchester City striker, Kelechi Iheanacho, has spoken of his delight at scoring the winner in Saturday’s Derby against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The 19-year-old provided the assist for Kevin De Bruyne’s goal, before he reacted quickest to the Belgian’s rebound to make it 2-0.

Although Zlatan Ibrahimovic pulled one back before the break, the match saw no further goals in the second half.

“I am so happy to score the winning goal in the Manchester Derby,” Iheanacho said after the game.

“I am very happy for my team, we worked very hard to win this game.

“I was at the right place at the right time, I never anticipated the ball, but luckily I got the winning goal.”
