Kelechi Iheanacho has said that he is happy with his ‘very good’ pre-season with Manchester City.
The Nigerian youngster scored for the Etihad team in their 4-2 loss to Stuttgart on Saturday at the Mercedes Benz Arena.
In all, the 18-year-old played five games, where he scored twice and provided two assists.
“I thank God for my performance, it’s a very good performance in pre-season,” he told City TV.
“We’ve played six games, I’ve played in five games and I have two goals and two assists, so it’s a very good performance for me and I’m happy with the performance.”
“It’s a tough game against a strong team [Stuttgart], so it was a very difficult game but we shouldn’t have lost,” he added.
“Because we are the big team, quality players are playing but it’s the game, you can lose or win.
“I composed myself, I scored the goal, we needed more goals in the second-half but we couldn’t score as much.
“But I was happy to score in this game,” he concluded.
