The Inspector General of Police, IGP Ibrahim Idris has paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Rivers Police Commissioner, Francis Bolaji Odesanya.
The Late SP Odesanya died three weeks ago in india.
He passed on while being treated at Sterling Hospital Ahmedabad-Gujarat in India.
The IG had on January 31 announced the death of the commissioner who died at the age of 56.
DAILY POST reports that Commissioner Odesanya was enlisted into the Police Force on February 1, 1986 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police and rose to the rank of a Commissioner.
He served as Deputy Commissioner of Police Department of Operations and that of Finance and Administration in Rivers State before he was promoted and posted as Commissioner of Police, Rivers State Police Command, on the 20th July, 2016; a position he held until his sudden demise on 31st January 2017.
