Watford striker, Odion Ighalo, has revealed his disappointment at missing out on Sunday Oliseh’s squad, for next month’s 2017 AFCON qualifying game against Tanzania.

Ighalo, who has won three caps for Nigeria, said he has taken the snub in good faith and is looking forward to representing his country in future.

“I am a little bit disappointed not to be in the list, but I am taking it in good faith,” Ighalo told AfricanFootball.com

“Nigeria is blessed with talents. I think the coach is rebuilding, maybe I am not in his plan for now. May be he will call me in future.”

The frontman, who has only scored once in the Premier League, went ahead to back the invited players and urged them to do well in Dar Es Salaam.

“I think the players he called can do it against Tanzania,” he said.

“I want to concentrate on working hard at Watford and see what happens in future with the Eagles. I wish the team all the best”.
