Odion Ighalo has expressed his happiness, after he led another club to the top flight.
The Watford striker scored 20 goals this season, to ensure his club play in the Premier League next term – four years after helping Granada gain promotion in Spain.
Ighalo spent the 2010/2011 season in Spain’s Segunda division and his goals proved crucial, as Granada returned to La Liga at the expense of Elche.
Watford finished the season with a home fixure against Sheffield Wednesday at Vicarage Road.
“We are through to the Premier League and I cannot quantify the way I feel. The road has been so tough but we thank God that he saw us through,” Ighalo told Goal.
“We will continue to remain humble and give tribute to God who has made it happen.
“It made me remember the time I was with Granada on loan when we qualified for the Spanish La Liga.”
Ighalo is expected to be called up, when coach Stephen Keshi announces his squad for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
