Igbinoba confident of emerging NPFL top scorer

Eseosa Igbinoba, who is currently the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) top scorer, has said he is confident he will finish the campaign with the award.

The Nasarawa United player currently leads the way with 14 goals, while Tunde Adeniji (Sunshine Stars) has 13.

Igbinoba will have a chance to extend his tally, when they take on Akwa United in a Week 31 clash on Friday in Uyo.

“Winning the top scorer award will be a good thing and I’m confident I can win it at the end of the season,”Igbinoba told Completesportsnigeria.com.

“Other players want to win it too which makes it a tough task to accomplish, but I will give my best to beat them to the honour.

“As for my club, it will be great if we can pick a continental ticket as we are out of the title race.”
