Suleiman Abba
The Inspector General of Police, IGP, Suleiman Abba, has voiced his concern over the recent reports from some states of the federation on the involvement of youths in cult activities and thuggery that have left many of them wounded and dead.
In a statement signed by the Force Public Relations Officer, FPRO, Emmanuel Ojukwu, the police boss said as a parent himself, he was concerned about the wastage of young human lives in the unworthy exercise and feels the pains of parents whose children and wards are following the ways of destruction.
Abba tasked Nigerian youths to take advantage of the many opportunities of development in the nation, obey the laws of the land, face their academics and vocations and prepare adequately to lead the nation in the years ahead.
While calling on the youths to embrace good virtues, the IGP warned that recalcitrant, wayward and delinquent youths will not escape being visited with the full weight of the law.
