The Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, has given the go head for the immediate promotion of 558 teachers in police primary and secondary schools across the country.

The promotion is meant to motivate them to perform better and to also address the complaints among the teaching staff.

Disclosing this to newsmen in Abuja on Tuesday, the Director, Directorate of Police Education, DCP Kabiru Ibrahim, said the affected teachers would soon get their letters of promotion.

Ibrahim said the increased investment in academic facilities and training of teachers was born out of the IG’s commitment in making the police school one of the best in the country.

He said, “It is my pleasure to inform you that the IG has approved the upgrading and promotion of 558 teachers in all police primary and secondary schools nationwide. We believe that with this promotion, our teachers would be better motivated to give their best and to ensure that the schools produce academically sound and well-rounded students.”
