‘Ifreke Inyang: 5 players Keshi MUST drop after the friendly against Scotland

Joseph Yobo: Watching the game on Wednesday night, you are forced to wonder what the cry for Yobo’s return was all about. The Fenerbahce defender – who spent the last few months at Norwich – did not look assured at the back and his position was suspect at times. It was great for him getting his 95th cap, but Keshi should not take him to Brazil.

Michael Uchebo: Blessed with looks like highlife crooner, Flavour, this striker does not quite attract any plaudits on the pitch. Erratic, indecisive and technically poor. Brown Ideye should be in the squad ahead of him.

Shola Ameobi: What is Ameobi doing in the Super Eagles squad really? Keshi needs to mend fences with Ikechukwu Uche and ditch the former Newcastle frontman. When presented with decent opportunities in the first half, the imposing striker squandered them.

Azubuike Egwueke: He spent his evening in company of Yobo. And what a terrible partnership they struck up. Credited with the own goal that put the Scots ahead for the second time, Egwueke always looked as if he was on the verge of an error. Oboabona and Omeruo should be first choice definitely.

Austin Ejide: Apart from Vincent Enyeama, what we have now have in the national team are fat, error-prone goalkeepers. Nigerians must start praying that nothing happens to the Lille stopper, or else it will be party time for Messi, Dzeko and Aguero. P.S: It was great to see Osaze Odemwingie back in the green of Nigeria. Didn’t have much time, but he reminded us of the skill, pace and invention he brings to the team. Must go to the World Cup!
