If Chelsea wants to sack me, they can sack me – Mourinho speaks after Southampton loss

Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho, has dared owner of the club, Roman Abramovich to fire him, after his team were beaten 3-1 by Southampton on Saturday night.

Although the Blues took the lead thanks to Willian’s splendid free-kick, the Saints fought back through Steven Davis, Sadio Mane and Graziano Pelle, to inflict defeat on Mourinho’s men.

“I am not running away. If the club wants to sack me, they have to sack me. I am more than convinced we will finish in top four,” Mourinho said after the game.

“If they sack me, they sack the best manager Chelsea have ever had.”

The former Real Madrid boss, also blasted the referees for not being bold to award them decisions.

“We have to be honest, the referees are afraid to give Chelsea decisions. I don’t care if I get punished by the FA,” he added.
