Idris Wada: Kogi Deputy Governor cuts holiday short

The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, has returned to the country, cutting short his 12-day Christmas holiday in London.

Awoniyi returned to the country at about 3.00 p.m. on Sunday and immediately visited Governor Idris Wada at Cedarcrest hospital in Abuja, where he was receiving treatment.

In a press statement by his Press Secretary, Michael Abu in Lokoja on Monday, the State number two citizen had suspended his trip following last Friday auto crash involving his boss.

Wada has sustained a thigh fracture in the accident which occurred on the Ajaokuta-Lokoja highway.

His aide-de-camp, ASP Idris Mohammed was not so lucky as he died on the spot.
