Indications have emerged that some top officials of the Ministry of Health may be in for a difficult time over the way they utilized the N1.9billion Ebola Fund, The Nation reports.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Linus Awute, and other key figures, were on Monday grilled for hours by the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission, ICPC, over the Ebola spending.
The officers were later released to report back at a later date with necessary documents to show how the N1.9 billion released to the ministry was disbursed.
According to the report, the interrogation of the Permanent Secretary and the Directors lasted for hours.
A source at the source also disclosed that heads may roll in the ministry given the information at the commission’s disposal.
