Zlatan Ibrahimovic has announced that he will retire from international football after Sweden’s participation at Euro 2016.
The 34-year-old striker who was included in his country’s provisional 35-man squad for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio this summer, also said he will not be available for the tournament.
“The last game for Sweden in Euro will be my last game with Sweden, so I hope it will not be tomorrow,” he told a press conference on Tuesday.
Ibrahimovic added that he, “will not participate in the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.”
Sweden take on Belgium in their final group game on Wednesday, knowing that only a win will give them a chance of qualifying for the Round of 16.
