Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani both scored twice, as Paris Saint-Germain defeated Bastia 4-0, to claim the Coupe de la Ligue.
Ibrahimovic – who was permitted to play despite a four-match suspension – opened the scoring from the penalty spot, after Sebastian Squillaci fouled Ezequiel Lavezzi inside the area. The French defender was sent off for the offence, leaving his team with a mountain to climb.
PSG, who will face Barcelona next week in the Champions League, went 2-0 after Ibrahimovic smashed in a second from a loose ball. The big Swede then set up Cavani to guide home a third goal, before the Uruguay international headed in Serge Aurier’s cross to seal the victory.
Laurent Blanc’s men are in the quest for an unlikely Quadruple this season.
