The former Director-General of the Kaduna State Facility Management Agency (KADFAMA), Dr Ibrahim Hamza, has been confirmed by the Kaduna State House of Assembly as the new Commissioner for Water Resources.
Hamza, who was nominated by Gov. Nasir Ahmed El-Rufai, appeared at the House plenary presided over by the Speaker, Alhaji Aminu Shagali, where he was screened and confirmed.
Speaking with journalists after his confirmation, Hamza expressed gratitude to Allah for the development.
He also said that “government is a continue process; In my capacity as Commissioner for Water Resources, I hope and intend to continue the good work of the former administrator.”
He assured the people of the state that he would work to accomplish the vision and mission of the state government.
Also speaking, Mr Nuhu Shadalafiya, the Chairman, House Committee on Information, called on the commissioner to ensure the completion of all ongoing water projects in the state.
“Ensure that the eight local governments concerned have adequate water supply as soon as funds are made available just like we did in the supplementary budget,’’ Shadalafiya said.
Hamza, who has a doctorate degree in Architecture, was born in 1974 in Soba Local Government Area of the state.
