IBB University appoints DVC, elevates three senior lecturers to professors


The Governing Council of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) University Lapai, Niger State has approved the appointment of Professor Samuel Kolo Tswanya as the Deputy Vice Chancellor(DVC) Academics.

The Council also renewed the appointment of the school Registrar, Mallam Samaila Muhammad, the bursar, Mallam Muhammad Dalhatu Suleyman and librarian, Alhaji Mohammed Bashir Suleman for another four years.

Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Ibrahim Adamu Kolo who announced this after the 27th regular meetings of the council yesterday disclosed that six senior lecturers of the university were also promoted to the position of Professors and readers respectively.

Professor Kolo further announced that the renewal of the tenure of Professor Muhammad Yakubu Auna as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (administration) for the last term was ratified by the council.

Those promoted to the rank of professors are Dr. Muhammad Yakubu Auna, now professor of Soil Science, Dr. Muhammad Tajordeen Mustapha, professor of Science Education and Dr. George Eweniyi, professor of Guidance and Counseling respectively.

The readers are Dr. (Mrs.) Eniola Olorunsanya in the area of Agricultural Economic, Dr. (Mrs.) Roseline Bukoye, Counseling Psychology and Dr. Victor Egwemi, Political Science.
