Pep Guardiola has admitted that he will not return to Bayern Munich, after they celebrated their third successive league title under him, with a 3-1 win over Hannover.
Mario Gotze scored twice, while Robert Lewandowski netted his 30th Bundesliga goal, to crown him the German league’s top scorer.
Guardiola’s last game in charge of Bayern, is next Saturday’s DFB-Pokal final against Borussia Dortmund.
The Spaniard who will take charge of Manchester City from next season, says he does not see himself returning to the Allianz Arena in future.
“I don’t think [I will be back],” Guardiola said.
“Bayern need a new coach, to fight on another level.
“I am me. After the first title with Bayern, I was still somewhat shy. Today it was better. Defending the league title is outstanding and a great compliment to these players.
“I learned a lot, it was completely different than in Barcelona. A great experience. I’m a better coach, a little bit. It was very good for me, for my development.”
