I won’t endorse any FIFA presidential candidate – Blatter

Sepp Blatter has revealed that he will not publicly support any candidate in the FIFA election, but admitted that four of the five men have tried to lobby him.

The suspended FIFA president told French radio station, RMC, that he will not get involved with the February 26 voting.

“I can’t, it’s not possible,” Blatter said, after stating that “four of the five candidates contacted me and spoke about it.”

The Swiss also refused to name the fifth candidate, although it is suspected to be Prince Ali of Jordan.

“You can deduce it was perhaps him that was against me. You are intelligent enough,” he said.

The other candidates are: Asian soccer leader Sheikh Salman, UEFA general secretary Gianni Infantino, former FIFA official Jerome Champagne and South African businessman, Tokyo Sexwale.
