The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr Ibe Kachikwu has pledged to effect the change mantra of President Muhammadu Buhari on Nigeria’s oil sector in 365 days.
Kachikwu made the pledge yesterday at his country home in Onicha-Ugbo, Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State when chieftains of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state led by its Chairman, Jones Erue paid him a courtesy visit.
He said, “The country’s oil sector will experience a turnaround such that the refineries will work effectively and products will be made available to the people at an affordable price within 365 days.’’
The Minister said as a technocrat, he came to give his best to turn around the petroleum sector around for the benefit of all Nigerians.
While stressing that he is not an epitome of knowledge, the Minister called for ideas from the public on best ways to achieve successes in the sector.
“I came in as a technocrat to give my best to transform the oil industry, but I will welcome ideas from willing and capable Nigerians to build this sector,’’ he said.
