“I will judge Falcao by how many goals he scores” – Van Gaal

Louis van Gaal has admitted he will judge Radamel Falcao, based on the number of goals he scores.

The Colombian striker failed to score again, as Manchester United beat Queens Park Rangers 2-0 at Loftus Road on Saturday, missing two clear opportunites to hit the target.

Van Gaal also stated that the team failed to create enough chances in the first half, before Maroaune Fellaini and James Wilson sealed victory in the second half.

“In the first half we created only one chance which I think Falcao had to score and then he had three chances in the second half,” the Dutchman told reporters.

“It’s not important what I think about Falcao because he wants to score goals. I have to judge how he has played and scoring goals is an important aspect of a striker.

“But for me it’s also important that he can be an attacking point of the attack and I think he did well.”
